Woodland Activities Winter Programme

Free for those who would like to improve their mental health. Funded by the NHS.

 

Being active outside in winter caring for wildlife can help you better manage anxiety, stress and worry - whatever the weather!

Groups led by experienced outdoor practitioners Kate Hathway and Nick Truman. Your GP or support worker can refer you, or you can refer yourself. Transport from The Balsam Centre to the site is provided. Contact us on 01963 31842 or ecotherapy@balsamcentre.org.uk

  • Winter conservation tasks

  • Winter wildlife and wildlife surveys

  • Winter forest bathing

  • Willow weaving

  • Making bat and bird boxes
